Plymouth and Guildford set for a dead Heat

Guildford and Plymouth’s head-to-head record suggest it will be a game that could go either way this weekend, despite the Heat’s dismal start to the new campaign.

Guildford and Plymouth’s head-to-head record suggest it will be a game that could go either way this weekend, despite the Heat’s dismal start to the new campaign.

Last season’s BBL Trophy finalists lost their opening two group games this season before crashing to back-to-back defeats to Newcastle and Sheffield in the league openers last weekend.

In the history of meetings between the two across the BBL competitions, both the Heat and the Raiders have won 16 games each, although Plymouth have won 7 of the last 10 meetings, including a 95-91 win at Surrey Sports Park three weeks ago.

Heat coach Creon Raftopoulos said: “The most important factor right now is not to doubt our ability.

“We have shown in most our games this season that we can compete with anyone. Once we get to understand each others roles on our team and improve our shot selection as individuals we will start picking up wins.”
