Leicester guard John Griffin is currently on the lookout for a new club, but may remain with the Riders if an opportunity doesn’t come up.
The American has seen his playing time limited after missing a chunk of the first half of the season with injury, and has been allowed to explore playing options away from the BBL.
Riders coach Rob Paternostro told the club’s official website: “We loved having him on our team and felt that even though he was unfortunate with his early season injury, he was still able to show what kind of player he was as he helped us on our early season win streak.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours and would welcome him back into the fold if the situation arose.”
Griffin scored 30 points combined in 4 games, averaging a rebound and a steal in limited minutes.
