Plymouth Raiders have pounced to sign centre Matt Schneck, previously with Cheshire Jets.
Schneck, 24, averaged 16.1 points and 10.7 rebounds per game for the Jets last season, and follows Colin O’Reilly to the south coast.
Raiders coach Gavin Love said: “He’s a huge impact player, a fierce competitor, a winner, and plays with real intensity.
“When we’ve matched up against him in the past, he’s given us a hard time – he’s very hard to stop inside.”
“He’s a relentless rebounder and one of the top big men in the BBL in recent years.”
The American will join up with his new team-mates at the beginning of September, where he will also link-up with another former Jets star, in Jeremy Bell.
